OPERATION SPAY & NEUTER RIVERSIDE

Operation: Spay & Neuter Riverside was created to help pet owners who need financial assistance to spay or neuter their dogs and cats.

 

Riverside has one of the highest shelter intake and euthanasia rates in California, largely due to pet overpopulation and limited access to affordable veterinary care. Many families want to do the right thing for their pets but cannot afford spay/neuter or preventive care. This leads to unwanted litters, overcrowded shelters, and preventable euthanasia.

 

Through this program, we provide low- and no-cost spay/neuter surgeries and vaccines to help keep pets healthy and in their homes while reducing shelter intake.

Program Eligibility

  • Applicants must live in the City of Riverside or unincorporated Riverside County

  • Preference is given to seniors, veterans/active duty military, and low-income households

  • Applications are reviewed on a first come, first served basis

 

Proof of residency is required (driver’s license, utility bill, lease, mortgage statement, etc.). Applications may be delayed or denied without proper documentation.

Important Information

  • Funding is limited and intended for those who truly need assistance

  • If approved, a $25 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot

  • Applications must be submitted by the pet owner for their own pet
