Tribute Gifts That Give Back to Rescues

Donations can be made as a memorial for a pet, or for a special animal-loving person who has passed away

Donations can also be made in honor of a living pet or a person who brings a special joy to your life.

Special occasions such as birthdays, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, Christmas, etc., can be a wonderful reason to make a donation.

For your memorial or honorary gift, we will send an acknowledgement letter of your gift to the address you provide, as well as feature a photo of the person/pet you are honoring in our in memorandum photo album. All memorial/honorary donations will go directly to our animal emergency and medical fund. We couldn’t do what we do without your support, so any donation – big or small – is greatly appreciated!

Hello I Am Moose

During my younger years I would run, play and be mischievous

As an old man of 13 I have slowed down; in need of glasses and a hearing aid

I try to still be protective and love it when the grandkids came to visit

They would swim in the big pool and my little pool would be placed right next to them
We sure had a lot of fun together

Sometimes old age gets the better of us and it was time for me to say goodbye and go to the rainbow bridge.I am happy here and have new friends and feel like a young whippersnapper again.

Missing my family is difficult but i know they love me and understand
Knowing I will always be with them and their hearts are with me makes it alright

Gotta go play now!!!!!

Hey there. I am J.J.

The treat toss champ of all the Basset Hounds!!!!

In my younger years I was rescued off the streets of Woodcrest with teeth marks on my nose!

I was given the name J.J. , because my adopted Mom and Dad were Nascar Fans. Their favorite Nascar Driver was Jimmy Johnson.

It took me a while to settle in. I wasn’t getting along with the other Basset Hounds in the house. Mom worked very hard to help me and soon I became a loyal and loving Mama’s Boy who got along with everyone.

Health issues appeared these past few years and Mom did all she could do to help me get well. It came time to start my new life at the Rainbow Bridge.

I really miss you Mom but please don’t be sad. Dad and I are together watching over you.

Gotta go now. Come on Dad lets play some treat toss.

Do cats normally live to be 21 years old? Well I Did!

Mom said she should have named me “Scruffy” because even when brushed, my beautiful fur always looked out of place.

I came from an abusive situation, was left at the vets until Mom came in, saw my blue eyes which melted her heart.

At one time I was called “Gray Ghost” as I blended in with the gray slate flooring in our other home.

I was sad at first, because I was an inside outside cat. Mom insisted I stay indoors where it was safer and healthier for me. I soon adjusted to this new life and realized being indoors was where a cat should be. It was so special to sit on Moms lap and be rubbed. I felt like a queen.

My old body soon gave out and I needed to go live at the Rainbow Bridge. I can now sit on Dads lap, and watch over mom. Can you hear me purring.

Unfortunately in animal life there are some of us who are discarded by their owners. They are considered “throw away pets” as I named Princess was. Thankfully I was brought to a wonderful shelter who cared for me and my 3 puppies. Once you were spayed or neutered the shelter gave you a little tattoo to indicate that. Mine was an apple so my new name became “Apple Annie”

Hip surgery and therapy was needed until I was back on my feet. I was so blessed to have such great care.

This wonderful couple came to the shelter to visit. They had adopted from them before and were looking for a special addition to their family. They were told “take Annie she gets along with everybody”! Off i went to an unbelievable new life. Many many years of fun and being loved went by.

Turning 16 slowed me down leaving me with only 4 teeth (but i sure still could eat). As some health issues occurred Mom would tell me as she did everyday that she loved me but adding that she wanted me to go to the bridge in my sleep!

The time came and i was sleeping but could see all my friends who had gone to the bridge before. I was at peace and Mom knew that. Everyone is happy and care free here!

Thank you Mom and Dad for adopting and giving me a loving life. Please tell Souci’s Mom she is fine and we are ruling the Chi Estate together.

Acceptance of any contribution, gift or grant is at the discretion of the Foster Army Animal Rescue. Foster Army Animal Rescue will not accept any gift unless it can be used or expended consistently with the purpose and mission of the Foster Army Animal Rescue.

No irrevocable gift, whether outright or life-income in character, will be accepted if under any reasonable set of circumstances the gift would jeopardize the donor’s financial security.

Foster Army Animal Rescue will refrain from providing advice about the tax or other treatment of gifts and will encourage donors to seek guidance from their own professional advisers to assist them in the process of making their donation.

Foster Army Animal Rescue will accept donations of cash or publicly traded securities. Gifts of in-kind services will be accepted at the discretion of Foster Army Animal Rescue.

Certain other gifts, real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities, and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some manner, must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to the special obligations raised or liabilities they may pose for Foster Army Animal Rescue.

Foster Army Animal Rescue will provide acknowledgments to donors meeting tax requirements for property received by the charity as a gift. However, except for gifts of cash and publicly traded securities, no value shall be ascribed to any receipt or other form of substantiation of a gift received by Foster Army Animal Rescue.
